Many marketing experts have predicted that 2016 will be the year for videos. This is no surprise given leading content marketing brands like Red Bull, Netflix, GoPro, Cisco, Amazon, and many more are already using videos to build awareness and loyalty with their customers.

Fact #1: Online video now accounts for 50% of all mobile traffic.

Fact #2: Last year online video accounted for 64% of all consumer internet traffic and this number is expected to rise to 69% by 2017 and 79% by 2018.

Fact #3: 78% of people watch videos online every week.

Fact #4: 55% of people watch videos every day.

Fact #5: 65% of video viewers watch more than 3/4 of a video.

Fact #14: 96% of B2B companies are planning to use video in their content marketing over the next 12 months.

Fact #15: Using the word “video” in an email subject line increases open rates by 19%, boosts click-through-rate by 65%, and reduces unsubscribes by 26%.

Fact #16: Sites that include videos have on average an extra two-minute dwell time (the length of time a visitor spends before returning to their search results), compared to sites that don’t have videos.

Fact #17: 52% of marketers worldwide name video as the type of content with the highest ROI.
